Most shop owners in Africa don't have a data problem — they have a trust and distance problem. You hire a cashier because you can't be in the shop every hour of every day. But once you're not there, you're relying entirely on what you're told, not what actually happened. For owners who live outside the country their shop operates in — running a business in Lagos or Accra from Guangzhou, London, or anywhere else — that gap is even wider.
JUA OS exists to close that gap: to give an owner an accurate, honest picture of what happened in their shop, whether they're standing behind the counter or on another continent.
JUA OS is two connected apps sharing one system: a point-of-sale app your cashier uses to sell, and a dashboard you use to see what happened. Every sale, refund, stock change, and login is recorded automatically and permanently — nothing in that record can be edited or deleted, by anyone, including your cashier.
The cashier app works fully offline. A sale made when the network is down saves instantly on the device and syncs the moment connectivity returns — your shop never stops selling because the internet dropped.
On the dashboard side, JUA OS automatically flags patterns that are easy for a human to miss but are exactly the kind of thing an owner needs to know about: repeated voided sales, frequent stock adjustments, sales recorded after hours, a cashier logging in and recording no sales at all. You get a plain-language explanation, not a spreadsheet to interpret.
Two kinds of owners, really. The first is the owner still in the country their shop is in, who just wants a straight answer to "how much did we actually make yesterday, and can I trust it?" The second is the owner who has moved — often trading or doing business between Africa and the rest of the world, sometimes further afield — and needs their shop to run without them physically present. Both are solving the same underlying problem: you can't watch your shop every hour, so your shop needs to be able to tell you what happened when you weren't looking.
We run support directly over WhatsApp — the same channel most of our owners already use every day, rather than a ticket system nobody checks. If you're getting started, have a billing question, or just want to talk to a person before you commit, message us and you'll get a real reply, not an autoresponder.
